Do women with endometrial tuberculosis still have the right to be mothers?

Endometrial tuberculosis is a type of uterine tuberculosis. If not treated for a long time, it will become chronic endometrial tuberculosis, which is very harmful and has a certain impact on fertility. So, does a woman with endometrial tuberculosis still have the right to be a mother?

1. Endometrial tuberculosis can cause congestion and edema of the endometrium, with a large amount of tuberculous exudate, which is not conducive to the upward movement of sperm and the implantation and development of fertilized eggs;

2. Tuberculosis factors such as bacterial toxins and leukocyte phagocytosis can cause sperm death or reduced activity, thus greatly affecting fertility;

3. It is difficult for the fertilized egg to implant in the tuberculous endometrium, or it may be caused by implantation disorders due to anti-endometrial antibodies, or the fertilized egg may not implant stably, which makes miscarriage very likely.

When hysterosalpingography is performed for patients with endometrial tuberculosis, the contrast agent may retrograde into the lymph nodes and veins in the tissues surrounding the uterine wall.

Endometrial tuberculosis can affect fertility. Even if you are pregnant, it may cause miscarriage. Moreover, the factors of this tuberculosis may be transferred to other places. Therefore, if you have endometrial tuberculosis, you must be careful and go to the hospital for treatment in time.
