Will cervical cancer cause less menstrual flow?

Cervical cancer may cause a decrease in menstrual flow because cervical cancer may cause abnormal hormone levels in the body. Menstruation is regulated by estrogen and progesterone. Abnormal secretion of these hormone levels may cause abnormal secretion of menstrual flow, which may manifest as decreased menstruation. Factors that cause cervical cancer are usually viral infections, sexual activity, and differentiation of columnar epithelial cells or squamous epithelial cells in the endocervical canal.

1. Viral infection. Clinically, it is generally believed that human infection with HPV is human papillomavirus, which is the main pathogenic factor of cervical cancer, especially human papillomavirus types HPV16 and 18 infection are more closely related to cervical cancer.

2. Caused by sexual activities, such as first sexual intercourse at a young age, early marriage, early childbearing, multiple births, cervical erosion, excessive sexual intercourse, etc., all of which will promote the occurrence of cervical cancer cells.

3. Differentiation of columnar epithelial cells or squamous epithelial cells of the cervical canal. From the perspective of pathological analysis, cervical cancer is caused by the canceration of columnar epithelial cells of the cervical canal or squamous epithelial cells of cervical lesions.

4. Cervical cancer can be divided into cervical adenocarcinoma and cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Cervical cancer can be prevented and treated. For women who have children, they usually have a routine HPV test once a year to effectively prevent cervical cancer.
