What medicine can cause abortion?

Usually, taking mifepristone tablets or misoprostol tablets under the doctor's advice can induce abortion, but do not buy and take the drugs on your own to avoid serious consequences.

Mifepristone tablets are an anti-progestin drug with anti-progestin and anti-glucocorticoid properties. The hormone changes the morphology and function of the female endometrium, making embryo implantation unstable, thereby inhibiting the development of the embryo to terminate pregnancy. Misoprostol tablets are prostaglandin analogs. After taking them, they can make the uterus excited and promote uterine contraction, soften the cervix, and then expel the embryo from the body to achieve the purpose of abortion.

Medical abortion is suitable for early pregnancy, usually intrauterine pregnancy within 49 days of pregnancy. If it exceeds this time frame, the effect of medical abortion may be reduced and the risk will increase. Medical abortion cannot guarantee 100% success. If medical abortion fails, uterine curettage surgery should generally be considered. Before performing medical abortion, it must be confirmed that it is an intrauterine pregnancy and other contraindications must be ruled out.
