Will ectopic pregnancy always cause bleeding?

Ectopic pregnancy is clinically called ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy may not cause vaginal bleeding, but it may also cause vaginal bleeding.

1. Vaginal bleeding may not occur: Ectopic pregnancy refers to the growth and development of the gestational sac outside the uterine cavity. If the gestational sac does not rupture or the blood does not flow out through the cervix and vagina after the gestational sac ruptures, the blood accumulates in the uterine cavity and vaginal bleeding will not occur.

2. Vaginal bleeding may occur: the gestational sac ruptures or is detached from the uterine wall, local capillaries rupture and bleed, and blood may flow out of the uterine cavity, cervix, and vagina, resulting in irregular vaginal bleeding. In severe cases, heavy bleeding may occur.

Patients with ectopic pregnancy may also experience symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, lumbar pain, and anal prolapse. Conservative treatment can be carried out with methotrexate injection, oxytocin injection, fensulfonamide injection and other drugs as prescribed by the doctor. Minimally invasive surgery or laparotomy can be performed if necessary. Patients need to choose appropriate treatment plans according to different conditions under the guidance of professional doctors, which will help improve their conditions as soon as possible.
