What are the symptoms before vulvar leukoplakia turns cancerous?

Vulvar leukoplakia generally refers to white lesions on the vulva. Most patients will experience obvious itching symptoms in the vulva, and may also be accompanied by abnormal proliferative changes in the vulva. However, some patients may also experience symptoms of vulvar ulceration, bleeding, and prolonged ulceration. Due to the different physical conditions of each patient, the symptoms before cancer also vary. The specific situation analysis is as follows:

1. Obvious itching symptoms in the vulva: White lesions in the vulva are common in patients with vulvar lichen sclerosus. Such patients generally have symptoms of vulvar itching, especially in the early stages of cancer. The itching symptoms are more severe, manifested as severe itching.

2. Abnormal proliferative changes in the vulva: Generally, before cancer occurs, the tissue cells in the skin lesions will show abnormal proliferation, which manifests as new nodules or growths.

3. Vulvar ulceration, bleeding and prolonged failure to heal: Before canceration occurs, some new nodules may be destroyed. When conventional measures are taken for treatment after the ulceration, the ulcerated area will often fail to heal for a long time.

In addition to the above symptoms, there may also be rough vulvar skin and keratinization. It is recommended that patients seek medical treatment in a timely manner and take targeted treatment after a clear diagnosis to avoid missing the treatment opportunity.
