What is pregnancy complicated with ovarian cysts?

Pregnancy complicated with ovarian cyst refers to the occurrence of ovarian cysts during pregnancy, which is often related to genetic factors, unreasonable diet structure, endocrine disorders and other factors. After pregnancy, the ovaries will continue to secrete estrogen and progesterone. Under the stimulation of high levels of hormones, local ovarian cysts may appear. Generally, observation, dietary conditioning, surgical treatment or termination of pregnancy, postpartum treatment, etc. are required according to the nature and size of the cyst.

1. Observation: After a woman becomes pregnant, the corpus luteum will not disappear, but will continue to exist and grow into a physiological corpus luteum pregnancy cyst. Generally, the placenta will form after 3 months of pregnancy to replace the ovarian secretion of hormones, and the ovarian cyst will gradually shrink, become smaller or disappear. Physiological cysts generally do not affect fetal development and do not require treatment. They can be temporarily observed and reviewed regularly.

2. Dietary adjustment: Pay attention to a light diet, eat less mutton, crab, salted fish, black fish, as well as chili peppers, peppercorns, raw garlic, white wine, longan, red dates and other foods, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

3. Surgical treatment: If the ovarian cyst increases in size with the increase of gestational age and its diameter is greater than 5 cm, but it still has no obvious impact on the pregnancy, laparoscopic surgery can be considered to remove the cyst.

4. Termination of pregnancy: If the ovarian cyst is accompanied by cyst rupture, pedicle torsion or is a malignant ovarian cyst, it poses a threat to life safety and requires timely termination of pregnancy and treatment.

5. Postpartum treatment: If the ovarian cyst is not large and does not affect the growth of the fetus in the uterus, it can be removed after delivery.

If ovarian cysts are present during pregnancy, you should avoid eating irritating foods and regularly check the cyst growth rate. If there is obvious abdominal pain or the cyst becomes malignant, you should go to the hospital in time and receive appropriate treatment according to the doctor's orders based on the specific situation.
