Does pelvic effusion affect the uterus?

Will pelvic effusion affect the uterus?

1. If pelvic effusion is not properly treated, it will cause great harm and easily lead to pelvic adhesions, fallopian tube obstruction, etc., leading to infertility. If there is lower abdominal pain, lumbosacral pain, increased leucorrhea, lower abdominal tenderness and strip-like thickening during gynecological examination, it is considered chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which needs active treatment to prevent the inflammation from worsening and the amount of effusion from increasing.

2. Most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation, i.e. chronic pelvic inflammatory exudation. A few are caused by ruptured ectopic pregnancy, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst and ovarian cancer. For effusions caused by pelvic inflammation, it is best to perform a posterior dome puncture to determine the nature of the fluid.

3. If there is a chronic infection, it may be inflammation of the ovaries, fallopian tubes and other gynecological systems, or it may be caused by tuberculosis or tumors. Pelvic inflammatory disease should be treated early, otherwise it will affect fertility over time.

The location of pelvic effusion mainly occurs in the lower part of the pelvis, such as the uterine rectal pit. The commonly used and effective examination method in gynecology is B-ultrasound, which can more accurately determine the amount of effusion.

Whether it is normal or abnormal effusion can be determined in detail based on medical history, symptoms and physical signs. If it is diagnosed as abnormal effusion, the cause of the effusion should be clarified, and eliminating the cause is the key. Extracting effusion is a means of Western medical examination or symptomatic treatment and should not be performed frequently.

Because simply draining the fluid not only cannot cure pelvic effusion, but will also increase the accumulation of fluid.
