Cervical erosion is a common condition of the female cervix. It is not an independent disease, but a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. According to the manifestation of erosion, it can be divided into simple erosion, granular erosion and nipple erosion. What are the symptoms respectively? 1. Simple erosion It is more common in the early stages of inflammation. The growth of the columnar epithelium on the surface of the cervix slows down, the eroded surface is covered by a more normal single-layer columnar epithelium, the epidermis is relatively flat and smooth, and flushing can be seen. 2. Granular erosion If inflammation persists, granular cervical erosion may occur. Because the cervical epithelium grows rapidly and grows toward the stroma, the cervical epithelium overproliferates and expands. The erosion surface is uneven and appears to be fine granules when viewed with the naked eye, so it is called granular cervical erosion. 3. Papillary erosion If the glandular epithelium and stromal proliferation are obvious, the unevenness is more obvious, and it is papillary, so it is called papillary cervical erosion. Due to the proliferation of stromal, many deeper gaps can be formed. Under the colposcopy, some irregular bulges or depressions can be seen, and some depressions are arranged like gyri. How to treat cervical erosion? 1. Drug treatment: This is mainly for mild to moderate patients who are not pregnant. It takes a relatively long time. Drug treatment can be divided into Chinese medicine treatment and Western medicine treatment. Drug treatment has few side effects and is more suitable for women who have not given birth. Antibiotics can be used for local application. Chinese medicine is widely used in the treatment of cervical erosion in clinical practice, and the effect is also good. 2. Physical therapy: Suitable for patients with moderate and severe cervical erosion. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. The disadvantage is that the side effects are large, and it may cause the sensitivity of the nerves in the vaginal wall to decrease, which will also have a certain impact on the quality of sexual life. 3. Surgical treatment: If the above methods are ineffective, surgery is recommended. You can go to the relevant hospital for consultation for details. What methods can prevent cervical erosion? 1. Prevention of cervical erosion includes regular gynecological examinations to detect cervical inflammation in time and provide timely treatment. 2. Paying attention to sexual hygiene, properly controlling sexual life, resolutely putting an end to extramarital sex and avoiding sexual intercourse during menstruation are common methods of preventing cervical erosion. 3. Preventing the cervix from being damaged by instruments during delivery is also one of the ways to prevent cervical erosion. 4. If cervical laceration is found after delivery, timely suturing is a common method to prevent cervical erosion. 5. Prevention of cervical erosion includes timely and effective contraceptive measures to reduce the incidence of artificial abortion and induced labor, thereby reducing the chance of artificial trauma and bacterial infection. |
