Whether cervicitis will turn into cancer depends on the pathogen of cervicitis. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women. Its cause is very clear, mainly related to human papillomavirus. The pathogen of cervicitis generally refers to chlamydia and gonococcus, so the two cannot be simply equated. People usually fear cancer because it is a huge threat to human life. After having sex, cervical cancer screening should be done every year.

How long does it take to treat cervicitis?

The treatment time of cervicitis needs to be determined according to the classification of cervicitis, which is usually divided into chronic and acute. For acute cervicitis, such as chlamydia, azithromycin may be used, and a single course of treatment is actually sufficient; for gonococcal infections, it depends on whether there are other symptoms, such as urethral infection or pelvic infection. The course of treatment will be selected according to the patient's condition, and chronic cervicitis may require a longer course of treatment.

If you have cervicitis, you first need to take active anti-inflammatory treatment. After the inflammation is corrected, the patient should focus on the prevention of cervicitis. Because cervicitis often does not disappear completely, it often recurs chronically and repeatedly. It is very important to regulate your daily life, mainly including diet and exercise.
