Why does female cervical erosion lead to infertility? Analysis of the causes of female cervical erosion

1. Why does cervical erosion lead to infertility?

From a professional perspective, when the squamous epithelium of the vaginal part of the cervix is partially or completely replaced by columnar epithelium, the granular red area seen with the naked eye or under a colposcope is called cervical erosion. Its essence is that the columnar epithelium in the cervical canal overproliferates and extends outside the cervix under the stimulation of higher estrogen levels. If there is no concurrent infection, and no abnormal cell and blood vessel hyperplasia, it should be considered physiological.

Clinically, doctors often consider all cases with erosion near the external opening of the cervix vagina as chronic cervicitis, which inevitably leads to overdiagnosis and overtreatment. Some overtreatments are not only useless, but may also bring more serious consequences. For example, repeated treatments can lead to cervical scar contracture and glandular changes, thus affecting conception.

2. Analysis of the causes of cervical erosion in women

1. Sexual activity too early and too many sexual partners.

Premarital sex is a common phenomenon among young people today. Premature sexual activity, frequent changes of sexual partners, and excessive sexual intensity (more than 4 times a week) are causes of cervical erosion that cannot be ignored.

2. Unclean sexual life.

Since premarital sex is mostly kept secret, and young people do not have a stable source of income and cannot create a stable and clean sexual environment, the chances of getting sick are greatly increased.

3. Multiple artificial abortions

Multiple abortions, diagnostic curettage, cervical dilation and other gynecological surgeries caused by premarital sex may lead to cervical injury or inflammation, and ultimately cause cervical erosion.

4. Excessive vaginal cleaning.

There are many female cleaning products on the market. If they are not chosen properly and a high concentration of disinfectant is used to flush the vagina, it will not only affect the growth of normal vaginal flora and reduce its ability to inhibit bacteria, but it will also cause varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage and eventually erosion.
