Will cervical erosion lead to infertility? These factors are likely to cause cervical erosion in women

Cervical erosion is a common cervical disease. There are many reasons for cervical erosion. So what is cervical erosion? Will cervical erosion cause infertility?

Can cervical erosion lead to infertility?

Under normal circumstances, mild cervical erosion will not affect pregnancy, so you don’t need to worry too much. However, moderate to severe cervical erosion may affect normal pregnancy.

Because moderate to severe cervical erosion produces a lot of cervical secretions mixed with a large number of white blood cells and various pathogenic bacteria, these substances destroy the normal acid-base environment of the vagina, thereby reducing the activity of sperm. In addition, the cervical mucosa proliferates due to inflammation, and polyps may grow to block the cervical opening, directly affecting the smooth passage of sperm.

Cervical erosion is one of the manifestations of cervicitis. The cervix is one of the passages for sperm and is part of the uterus. The gestational sac is implanted in the uterine cavity. Cervicitis can cause increased vaginal discharge, bleeding during intercourse, physical discomfort, and pain during intercourse. Cervicitis is difficult to treat and therefore women should improve their awareness of sexual health.

Causes of cervical erosion

1. Premature sexual activity and too many sexual partners. Premarital sex is common among young people today. Premature sexual activity, frequent changes of sexual partners, and excessive sexual activity (more than 4 times a week) are causes of cervical erosion that cannot be ignored.

2. Unclean sex life. As most premarital sex is kept secret, coupled with the fact that young people do not have a stable source of income and do not have a stable and clean sex life environment, the chances of getting sick will be greatly increased.

3. Sometimes women clean too much, which can also cause cervical erosion. There are many cleaning drugs on the market, and many women rely heavily on drug cleaning. In fact, this is a bad habit. Long-term use will destroy the self-protection function of the vagina itself and cause cervical erosion.

4. Condom use. Since the quality of condoms is often uneven, according to a survey by the National Population and Family Planning Commission, the pass rate of condoms in my country is only 65%. About 70% of women with gynecological diseases suffer from cervical erosion or even unexpected pregnancy due to poor condom quality.

5. Nowadays, many people live together before marriage and do not take contraceptive measures, which leads to more and more people having artificial abortions. This is very bad for the body and can easily cause gynecological diseases.

6. Mechanical stimulation or injury. Such as sexual intercourse, intrauterine contraceptive device, multiple artificial abortions and childbirth
