Why do women get uterine fibroids? To prevent uterine fibroids, you need to do these 3 things

There are many reasons that induce uterine fibroids in women. Generally speaking, we study them from two aspects: internal and external factors. Generally speaking, uterine fibroids often appear in daily life, and there are many reasons that cause uterine fibroids.

Why do women get uterine fibroids?

Estrogen effects

The level of hormone secretion in the body affects the incidence of uterine fibroids in women to a certain extent. Experts point out that the cause of uterine fibroids is related to excessive estrogen levels in the body and long-term estrogen stimulation. Due to high estrogen levels and unreasonable dietary structure, young women are prone to uterine fibroids. For example, vitamins in the diet can reduce the sensitivity of the uterine myometrium to estrogen and regulate the neuroendocrine system.

2. Double pressure

Stress is also the main reason for many middle-aged women to suffer from uterine fibroids. Modern women face the dual pressure of life and work. Women themselves are prone to depression, which will promote the increase of estrogen secretion. If women have disordered sex life, it is easy to cause disorder of hormone secretion, leading to chronic pelvic congestion, which is one of the causes of uterine fibroids. Oral contraceptives can also make uterine fibroids more likely to occur.

Uterine fibroids should be prevented at different stages

1. Adolescence. Since the ovaries and female reproductive organs are not fully mature during adolescence, various diseases are easily affected by the external and internal environment, thus affecting the normal development and reproductive function of women. These people are usually accompanied by sagging of internal organs (such as kidney ptosis, gastric ptosis, etc.). If the abdominal pressure increases for some reason, uterine fibroids are prone to occur.

2. Menstrual period. Although the menstrual period is a physiological phenomenon of women in the reproductive period, the excitability of the cerebral cortex of women during menstruation is reduced. Strengthening menstrual health care is also of great significance to the prevention of uterine fibroids. In addition, pelvic congestion is affected by endocrine, and systemic and local resistance is reduced. If you do not pay attention to menstrual health care, it is easy to cause various acute and chronic diseases and affect women's health. In particular, women are exposed to cold stimulation (mainly cold water) during menstruation, which can easily cause ovarian dysfunction, leading to menstrual disorders and even amenorrhea.

3. Lactation. Ovarian function declines during lactation. In particular, long-term breastfeeding after childbirth can lead to uterine atrophy, relaxation and weakness of the uterine support structure and suspension device, decreased tension and elasticity of the pelvic floor muscles, and decreased tension and elasticity of the pelvic floor muscles. In this case, if you encounter external conditions such as increased abdominal pressure or posture force, you can induce uterine fibroids. Therefore, doing a good job of breastfeeding care for women is an important measure to prevent uterine fibroids.

To prevent uterine fibroids, you need to do these three points

The first point is to do a good inspection

Generally speaking, uterine fibroids have no obvious symptoms (or are asymptomatic) in the early stages, and only to a certain extent can they be felt from physical changes. There are the following five symptoms.

1. Excessive leucorrhea

Almost all gynecological diseases are related to excessive leucorrhea, and so is uterine fibroids, because it can cause pelvic congestion and infection, which then leads to increased vaginal flow, mixed with traditional leucorrhea to increase secretion. At this time, most leucorrhea is purulent and accompanied by a fishy smell.

2. Dysmenorrhea

Uterine fibroids can compress nerves, stimulate uterine contractions, and are prone to endometriosis. Therefore, most women with uterine fibroids will experience dysmenorrhea.

3. Excessive menstrual bleeding

This symptom mainly occurs during the growth of uterine fibroids. As the fibroids continue to grow, the volume of the uterus will also increase accordingly, thus disrupting the normal physiological function of the uterus. Because the growth of the tumor affects the hemostatic function of the uterus during menstruation, patients with uterine fibroids often suffer from excessive menstrual bleeding, irregular bleeding, prolonged (or shortened) menstruation, and other diseases.

4. Lower abdominal mass

During the growth of uterine fibroids, patients can feel the mass by themselves, especially in the morning before urinating, because the bladder is full and the uterus moves upward, making it easier to touch the fibroids. This feeling becomes more obvious as the fibroids grow.

5. Sense of oppression

As uterine fibroids grow larger, they will inevitably compress the bladder, rectum and peripheral nerves, causing patients to experience symptoms such as lumbar pain, constipation, and frequent urination.

Although this method is simple, some gynecological diseases have similar symptoms, so it is easy to confuse, and observation of symptoms cannot be used as the main preventive measure.

B-ultrasound examination has high reliability

At present, B-ultrasound examination of uterine fibroids is relatively common in China, with an accuracy rate of up to 93.1%. It can show the shape of the uterus, the number, location, size of fibroids, whether the fibroids are uniform or have liquefied cystic changes, and whether other surrounding organs are compressed. However, for small and asymptomatic fibroids, there is a risk of missed diagnosis. If there are fibroids complicated with pregnancy, adenomyosis, or fibroids with cystic changes and adnexitis, the misdiagnosis rate is about 6%. Therefore, when the B-ultrasound examination results are not completely reliable, it is best to use other means for auxiliary diagnosis.

Gynecological examination

Women who take care of their health usually have a physical examination once a year. During the physical examination, no matter what small problems there are in the body, they can not escape the doctor's eyes, let alone uterine fibroids, which is an obvious uterine disease. If you have uterine fibroids, then in the gynecological examination, the uterus is irregular or uniform, hard. Subserosal fibroids touch the surface of the uterus, nodules bulge, promote the mass, and the cervix moves; if the submucosal fibroids protrude from the cervix, the tumor can be touched or seen, and if the uterine cavity is detected or scraped, the uterine cavity deformation or protruding mass can be touched!

Pay attention to the second point of diet

The formation of uterine fibroids is related to long-term and large amounts of estrogen stimulation. Animal experiments have shown that high-fat foods promote the production and release of certain hormones, so the incidence of uterine fibroids in obese women increases significantly. Therefore, cultivating good eating habits has a certain inhibitory effect on uterine fibroids.

〈1〉Eat regularly and in regular amounts, and avoid overeating.

〈2〉Adhere to a low-fat diet and eat more lean meat, eggs, green vegetables, fruits, etc.

〈3〉Eat more whole grains such as corn, beans, etc.

〈4〉Eat nutritious dried fruits regularly, such as peanuts, sesame seeds, melon seeds, etc.

〈5〉Avoid spicy, alcoholic, frozen and other foods.

Patients with uterine fibroids should pay attention to their diet:

Eat a light diet and avoid eating irritating foods such as mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, and black fish.

2. Avoid consuming irritating foods and drinks, such as alcohol and white wine.

3. Avoid eating foods that are hot, blood-clotting, or contain hormones, such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly.

4. Eat more lean meat, chicken, eggs, quail eggs, crucian carp, turtle, white fish, cabbage, asparagus, celery, spinach, cucumber, winter melon, mushrooms, tofu, kelp, seaweed, fruits, etc.

The third point of balanced life

Patients with uterine fibroids should pay attention to regulating their emotions in daily life, prevent anger, sadness, and thinking, and should try to be content, cheerful, and open, avoid overwork, and make the five internal organs harmonious, and prevent various diseases. In addition, patients should pay attention to controlling sexual intercourse to prevent damage to kidney qi and aggravate the condition. They should pay more attention to sexual hygiene, keep the vulva clean, and prevent external evil invasion, internal heat, and coagulation of qi and blood, which will aggravate the condition.
