What are the symptoms of uterine fibroids? What are the dangers of uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are one of the common diseases in our lives. Generally speaking, uterine fibroids are a benign disease. Therefore, patients with uterine fibroids do not need to be too nervous, but they still need treatment. Uterine bleeding and abdominal masses are common symptoms of the disease.

(1) Uterine bleeding: Uterine bleeding is a common symptom of this disease. It can be manifested as excessive menstruation, increased menstrual volume, and prolonged menstrual period. This type of bleeding is more common. Irregular bleeding, menstrual disorders, prolonged duration, and dripping are more common in submucosal fibroids. This symptom is most common in submucosal fibroids or intramuscular fibroids.

(2) Abdominal mass: The uterine fibroids are enlarged, the uterus is pregnant for more than 3 months, or the subserosal fibroids can feel the mass. The mass is located in the middle of the lower abdomen, is not very active, is painless, and grows slowly. Patients with uterine fibroids have fewer abdominal masses. Submucosal fibroids are separated from the vagina because the vulva is separated from the mass.

(3) Vaginal discharge: Uterine fibroids can cause an increase in vaginal discharge. Tumor infection can cause a large amount of purulent vaginal discharge. If there is ulceration, necrosis, or bleeding, bloody or purulent vaginal discharge can also occur.

(4) Compression symptoms: Myomas on the anterior wall of the uterus can cause bladder irritation symptoms, leading to frequent urination and urgency. Myomas on the cervix grow forward, causing discomfort above the pubic bone, urinary retention, and even overflow incontinence. Huge myomas on the anterior lip of the cervix cause difficulty in urination, press the rectum backward, cause swelling in the posterior pelvic cavity, and cause poor defecation. Myomas on the broad ligament or giant cervical myomas can cause obstruction of venous blood flow and cause lower limb edema.
