What are the main symptoms of uterine fibroids? Can uterine fibroids induce malignant tumors?

Uterine fibroids are divided into malignant uterine fibroids and benign uterine fibroids. However, due to the rarity of malignant uterine fibroids, the uterine fibroids we refer to generally refer to benign uterine fibroids. But it should be noted that benign uterine fibroids also have a great impact on women.

Below, the symptoms of uterine fibroids are summarized as follows:

1. Increased abdominal circumference and swollen abdomen

This is the most common phenomenon of patients. Patients notice that their clothes or belts look tight, so they notice that their abdomen is enlarged, or they notice it by chance in the morning, so they find that their abdomen is swollen, coupled with abdominal distension and discomfort.

2. Abdominal pain

If the tumor has no complications, pain is rare. Therefore, if a patient with an ovarian tumor feels abdominal pain, especially if it occurs suddenly, it is mostly caused by torsion of the tumor pedicle, and occasionally by cyst rupture, bleeding, or infection. In addition, malignant cysts mainly cause abdominal pain and leg pain, and the pain often causes patients to go to the emergency room.

3. Menstrual disorders

Ovarian fibroids, or even bilateral uterine fibroids, usually do not cause menstrual disorders because they do not destroy all normal ovarian tissue. Some uterine bleeding is not endocrine, or it is due to uterine fibroids changing the pelvic vascular distribution, causing endometrial congestion; or it is due to malignant ovarian cysts directly metastasizing to the endometrium. Menstrual disorders caused by endocrine tumors are usually combined with other secretory effects.

4. Compression symptoms

Huge uterine fibroids can cause dyspnea and palpitations, and large amounts of ascites can also cause these symptoms; but in some patients with uterine fibroids, dyspnea is caused by effusion in one or both sides of the chest, and is often accompanied by ascites.
