Many women do not show obvious symptoms after getting uterine fibroids, which is called asymptomatic uterine fibroids. But there are also many patients who have some symptoms, but it is easy to cause them to ignore. Therefore, we need to understand the symptoms of uterine fibroids and always pay attention to these conditions. (1) Menstrual disorders. Uterine fibroids can cause menstrual disorders, such as irregular and prolonged menstruation. In addition, the symptoms vary depending on the type of uterine fibroid. For example, intramural fibroids can cause increased menstrual flow; submucosal fibroids can cause prolonged menstruation and continuous vaginal bleeding; and subserosal fibroids rarely cause menstrual symptoms. (2) Lumps and compression symptoms. This mainly occurs in patients with larger uterine fibroids, where there are more compression sites. If the bladder is compressed, urinary system symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and increased nocturia will occur; if the rectum is compressed, constipation will occur, or there will be a urge to defecate but the stool cannot be passed; if the uterine fibroid grows to one side and compresses the sciatic nerve on one side, the patient's lower limbs will become numb and painful. (3) Abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, etc. Some patients with uterine fibroids will experience abdominal pain. If the uterine fibroids undergo degeneration, abdominal pain will occur; if the uterine fibroids twist, abdominal pain symptoms will also occur. If the uterine fibroids are not large or numerous, it will manifest as increased vaginal discharge after menstruation. It can be seen that the symptoms of uterine fibroids are relatively obvious, but because they are similar to the symptoms of other diseases, they are easily ignored by patients. The best way is to have a good health awareness and go to the hospital for a regular examination in time when there is a problem with your body. |
