Uncovering the true face of cervical erosion, the truth is this!

Uncovering the true face of cervical erosion, the truth is this!

In the early years, married women who underwent physical examinations were diagnosed with cervical erosion and worried and frightened. Although the incidence of cervical erosion has decreased a lot in recent years, some female friends who were previously diagnosed with cervical erosion are still seeking treatment for cervical erosion.

What should I do with cervical erosion? Does mild cervical erosion need treatment? If you are still asking these questions about cervical erosion, it proves that you are OUT! From the 7th edition of the textbook "Obstetrics and Gynecology", the name of cervical erosion has been changed to " cervical columnar epithelium ectopia " , which shows that cervical erosion is no longer a pathological phenomenon, but a physiological phenomenon. Despite this, you can still see some female friends asking questions about cervical erosion on the Internet , such as " What should I do with cervical erosion? " and " Does mild cervical erosion need treatment? " This situation once again proves that the scientific knowledge of cervical erosion has not yet been popularized to all female friends.

The words "cervical erosion" will appear in the physical examination reports of more than 80% of women who have sex, which has caused trouble for many women. Today, I will tell all female friends not to regard cervical erosion as a disease. Now let's talk about the location of cervical erosion. There are two types of epithelial cells in the female cervix. The squamous epithelial cells are close to the vagina, and the columnar epithelial cells are close to the uterus. They can be clearly distinguished by the naked eye. It is called the " squamo-columnar junction " in medicine , and it is also a high-incidence area of cervical cancer. The squamous-columnar junction is related to estrogen. When the secretion of estrogen increases, the area of " cervical erosion " will also increase. When the secretion decreases, the " cervical erosion " will disappear.

The so-called cervical erosion in our mouths is actually the exposure of the columnar epithelium under the action of estrogen. Because of the different degrees, there are differences in light, moderate and severe. Generally speaking, cervical erosion is a normal physiological phenomenon. No drug treatment is required. It has no effect on fertility and you can even ignore it. If you go to the hospital for a check-up and the result is that you have cervical erosion and the hospital asks you to treat it, female friends should resolutely refuse and don't waste extra money. However, it should be noted that if the diagnosis is not cervical erosion, but cervicitis, you need to take timely measures to treat it.
