Treatment of adenomyosis

Treatment of adenomyosis

Generally speaking, adenomyosis refers to the endometrium in the uterine cavity that should have developed into uterine muscle. Adenomyosis, like ovarian chocolate cysts, is also a type of endometriosis. It is not clear why the normal endometrium grows into the myometrium. But clinically, women who have had abortions, curettage, and childbirth are more likely to suffer from adenomyosis. Therefore, uterine damage caused by surgery is one of the causes of adenomyosis. If abortion and uterine curettage are avoided, the incidence of adenomyosis may be reduced.

There are two main symptoms of adenomyosis:

1. Increased dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea in adenomyosis is characterized by progressive aggravation, which will be unbearable at a certain stage and seriously affect life. Patients can take ibuprofen or other painkillers in the early stage, but as the disease progresses, general painkillers cannot relieve the pain. Some patients need painkillers as soon as their menstruation comes. Dysmenorrhea in adenomyosis usually starts a few days before menstruation, is severe one or two days before menstruation, and then gradually decreases. Pathological changes continue to develop, and there may be unbearable pain throughout the menstrual period.

2. Increased menstruation. Because the myometrium of the uterus has lesions, it cannot contract well during menstruation, and the uterus will also enlarge, so the amount of menstruation is often much more than normal, which can cause severe anemia.

The diagnosis of adenomyosis is not difficult

Gynecological examination often finds that the uterus is round and evenly enlarged (this is different from the uneven enlargement of the uterus caused by uterine fibroids). B-ultrasound has a good diagnostic value for adenomyosis. B-ultrasound can show enlarged uterus, thickened uterine muscle layer, and uneven muscle echo.

The main hazards of adenomyosis are: affecting life; causing infertility!

The dysmenorrhea of adenomyosis is very painful. In severe cases, the patient can only lie in bed and do nothing. Excessive menstruation can cause anemia. Because the myometrium of adenomyosis is hard and inelastic, it is called "salt-alkali land", which is not suitable for the growth of fertilized eggs, so it often causes infertility.

Treatment of adenomyosis

The treatment of adenomyosis is an urgent problem. But unfortunately, in the past, the treatment of adenomyosis was limited and the effect was not lasting. If you want to treat adenomyosis, you have to remove the uterus. But some patients don't have children yet. Some patients don't want to have a hysterectomy. What should we do?

"Excellence +" is a concept of continuous optimization and the pursuit of excellence. Advantages and disadvantages of adenomyosis preservation surgery and improvement principles: On the basis of continuing to follow the principles of adenomyosis preservation surgery and lesion tissue resection, the surgery adopts advanced "laparoscopic minimally invasive technology". On the basis of small incision laparotomy and uterine preservation U-shaped surgery, single-port laparoscopic monitoring is performed to ensure lesion resection, surgical incision, suturing method, protection, etc. The recovery of the endometrium and pregnancy environment after surgery is improved.

It can be seen that once adenomyosis (including adenomyoma) occurs, it will cause serious troubles to everyone's daily life and should be focused on prevention. Once dysmenorrhea and heavy menstruation occur, you should seek medical attention in time to strive for early treatment, early control, and early recovery.
