The following dietary treatments can be used:

1. Ganmai Drink: 30g wheat, 10 red dates, 10g licorice, decocted in water. Take once in the morning and evening. Suitable for those who have hot flashes, sweating, irritability, palpitations, depression, irritability, and dull complexion before and after menopause.

2. Lotus seed and lily porridge: 30g lotus seeds, lily and polished rice are cooked together and taken once in the morning and evening. It is suitable for those who suffer from palpitations, insomnia, restlessness, forgetfulness, limb fatigue and rough skin before and after menopause.

3. Chinese wolfberry soup: wolfberry, mulberry, and red dates, equal parts, decocted in water, once in the morning and evening; or stewed with 30 grams of Chinese yam and 100 grams of lean meat, once a day. Suitable for those who have dizziness, poor appetite, fatigue, and pale complexion during menopause.

4. Red bean, coix seed, and red date porridge: 30 grams each of red bean, coix seed, and polished rice, 10 red dates, cook and eat porridge every day. 3 times a day. Suitable for those with limb edema, loose skin, and joint pain during menopause.

5. Wolfberry, pork and bamboo shoots: 30g wolfberry and bamboo shoots, 100g lean pork, appropriate amount of lard, salt, MSG, soy sauce and starch. Heat lard in a wok, add pork and bamboo shoots and stir-fry until cooked, add other seasonings and it's done. Eat once a day. Suitable for dizziness, irritability, heavy menstrual bleeding, dark complexion, hot hands and feet, etc.

6. Raw Rehmannia and Polygonatum Congee: 30g each of raw rehmannia, processed Polygonatum, and polished rice. First, boil the two ingredients in water to remove the residue and take the juice. Use the juice to cook polished rice porridge and eat it. Once a day. Indications are the same as above.

7. Carp soup with aconite: 15g aconite, 1 carp (weighing about 500g). First, boil the aconite in water for 2 hours, clean the carp and then boil the carp with the soup. Add ginger, chopped green onion, salt, MSG, etc. when eating. It is suitable for menopausal patients with dizziness, tinnitus, backache or lower limb edema, preference for warmth and aversion to cold, or cold leucorrhea, cold pain in the lower abdomen and dull complexion.

8. Jujube kernel porridge: 30g of sour jujube kernel, 60g of polished rice. Wash sour jujube kernel, decoct in water to extract juice, cook with polished rice into porridge, 1 dose per day, 10 days as a course of treatment. It is suitable for menopausal mental disorders, mood swings, dull complexion, poor appetite and other symptoms.

9. Albizzia julibrissin porridge: 30g Albizzia julibrissin (dry product) or 50g fresh product, 50g polished rice, and appropriate amount of brown sugar. Put Albizzia julibrissin, polished rice, and brown sugar in a pot, add 500ml of water, and cook over low heat until the porridge is cooked. Eat warm on an empty stomach 1 hour before going to bed every night. It has the effects of calming the mind and relieving depression, promoting blood circulation and beautifying the face, promoting diuresis and reducing swelling. It is suitable for menopausal irritability, depression, restlessness, forgetfulness, insomnia, etc.

10. Ganmai Dazao Congee: 50g each of barley and polished rice, 10 jujubes, and 15g of licorice. First, fry the licorice, remove the residue, and then add polished rice, barley and jujubes to cook into porridge. Eat twice a day on an empty stomach. It has the effects of invigorating qi and calming the mind, calming the heart and beautifying the skin. It is suitable for women in menopause who are in a trance, often sad and want to cry, cannot control themselves, or suffer from insomnia and night sweats, have a red tongue with little coating, and have a thin and rapid pulse.

11. Alpinia oxyphylla porridge: 5g Alpinia oxyphylla, 50g glutinous rice, a little refined salt. First grind Alpinia oxyphylla into fine powder, cook glutinous rice into porridge, add Alpinia oxyphylla powder, add a little refined salt, and cook for a while. Eat warm for breakfast and dinner every day. It is suitable for women with menopausal syndrome, spleen and kidney yang deficiency, abdominal cold pain, dark complexion, frequent urination, enuresis, etc. in the elderly.
