What causes cervical precancerous lesions?

How are cervical precancerous lesions caused? In life, many women are particularly familiar with cervical cancer. It is well known that cervical cancer is one of the malignant tumors of gynecology. The development of cervical precancerous lesions to cervical cancer is a very long process, but we still need to pay enough attention to it. The following will introduce how cervical precancerous lesions are caused.

1. Improper sex life

Some female friends have sex too early, or have some unclean sex, which can lead to the occurrence of cervical cancer. Women who do not have sex usually do not suffer from cervical cancer. The earlier they have improper sex, the more likely they are to develop cervical cancer in the future. Sexual promiscuity (including both men and women), young age of first sexual intercourse, marriage and childbirth factors, cervical erosion, viral infection (HSV-2, HPV), etc. are high-risk factors for cervical cancer.

2. Cervical inflammation and abnormal hormone secretion

If women suffer from cervical diseases and do not receive good treatment, it is very likely to lead to cervical cancer. If there is long-term cervical damage, skin breakage, erosion, and inflammation, it may turn into early cervical cancer cells. A survey shows that abnormal secretion of progesterone (a female hormone) will change the stability of cervical epithelial cells, causing abnormal changes and leading to the development of cervical cancer cells.

3. HPV infection

There is also HPV infection, which is also one of the more serious causes of cervical cancer, so patients must pay attention to this factor. High-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the main factor causing cervical cancer, and more than 90% of cervical cancer patients are accompanied by high-risk HPV infection. When HPV infection persists, it can induce cervical cancer under the influence of factors such as smoking, use of contraceptives, and sexually transmitted diseases. This process is long, that is, it takes a relatively long time for HPV infection to develop into precancerous lesions, namely CIN, and it also takes a long time for CIN to develop into cancer. Regular inspections can detect and treat it in time before it becomes cancerous.

4. Smoking

Smoking increases the chance of developing cervical cancer because it reduces the body's immunity and accelerates the development of cervical cancer cells. In addition, some carcinogens produced by smoking may also lead to the development of cervical cancer cells.

What causes cervical precancerous lesions? After understanding the above content, do female friends have a deeper understanding of cervical cancer? In normal times, female friends should actively carry out prevention and care, develop good living habits, and avoid serious diseases such as cervical cancer.
