Seven categories of food allergies! Diet rotation to avoid allergies

The sources of food allergies are varied! Some people are allergic to peanuts and tree nuts; some people are allergic to seafood such as oysters, shrimps, and crabs; some people are allergic to milk and dairy products. Many allergens are found in our daily diets, which stimulate the antibodies in the human body to launch a defensive offensive, causing external phenomena such as inflammation and pain, and even internal lesions that affect reproduction and liver organs.

Doctors say that in addition to congenital food allergies, chronic allergies may also occur due to excessive eating.

Wang Guiliang, a doctor at the opening clinic, said that human antibodies that can cause allergies are divided into congenital and acquired. The innate antibody is IgE. Once the allergen combines with the IgE antibody attached to the mast cells, it will stimulate the mast cells to release histamine, which will immediately cause allergic reactions in a short period of time. The best way to prevent it is to isolate the allergic food forever. Acquired antibodies are mainly IgG, which is easy to obtain due to the convenient acquisition of food, causing people to consume too much without realizing it, causing chronic inflammation of the body. Obvious allergic symptoms will only appear when the antibody resistance reaches the critical point.

Currently, food allergy testing can be used to find out which foods you are allergic to, whether congenital or acquired. Common allergenic foods can be divided into seven categories: the first category is dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt; the second category is seafood, eggs, and fish; the third category is vegetables, such as cucumbers, bamboo shoots, water spinach, and asparagus; the fourth category is fruits, including kiwi, watermelon, banana, and pineapple; the fifth category is grains and nuts, such as wheat and peanuts; the sixth category is coffee and tea; and the seventh category is spices, such as chili peppers.

Dr. Wang Guiliang pointed out that statistics on more than 30,000 cases of allergen testing in outpatient clinics found that the food most commonly causing allergies among Chinese people was milk, accounting for 30%, followed by eggs at 27% and flour at 20%.

However, acquired food allergies are caused by chronic accumulation, so as long as you do not consume excessive amounts, there is no need to completely abstain from food. Doctors say that for foods that may cause progressive allergies in individuals, it is recommended to adopt a "diet rotation method". First, use allergen testing to confirm the degree of allergic reaction of the food to the human body. If it is mild, it is recommended to abstain from the same food within two weeks after the allergic reaction occurs; foods with moderate allergic reactions should be abstained from for 2 months; foods with severe allergic reactions should be abstained from for 3 to 6 months; after the IgG antibodies in the body return to normal values, you can then use a 4-day diet cycle according to the speed and time of digestion and metabolism of food in the body. Ingredients in the same cycle should be avoided to be repeated and excessive.

Dr. Wang Guiliang said that 70% of the body's allergic reactions are caused by problems with the intestinal immune function. Once the internal environment of the intestine is not good and food cannot be fully digested, it is easy to cause inflammation, allowing bad bacteria to circulate through the blood and attack other parts of the body with poor resistance, causing allergies. However, taking digestive enzymes in moderation to make digestion more complete, supplementing with Omega-3 to inhibit intestinal inflammation, and taking probiotics to maintain the balance of intestinal flora will help maintain intestinal health and reduce allergic reactions.
