Misunderstandings in the treatment of endometrial tuberculosis

There are many misunderstandings in the treatment of endometrial tuberculosis. Endometrial tuberculosis is mostly caused by the spread of fallopian tube tuberculosis. When tuberculosis bacteria infect the body, they generally do not cause disease immediately, but go through a period of incubation. During the incubation period, when the body is in a state of poor resistance, tuberculosis bacteria can invade the endometrium and eventually affect the basal layer of the endometrium.

1. Conservative surgery: Conservative treatment is generally used for young women who want to have children. The uterus and appendages of women are preserved, and only the lesions are removed and the existing adhesions are separated, the ovaries of women are reconstructed, and the tissues are repaired. However, there is a certain chance of recurrence.

2. Semi-radical surgery: If a woman has no fertility requirements and the lesion is relatively severe, and the woman is under 45 years old, a total hysterectomy and lesion removal is usually performed. However, the normal ovarian tissue on one side of the woman should be preserved as much as possible to avoid premature amenorrhea. Usually, the recurrence rate after semi-radical surgery is low and the sequelae are relatively few, but it is not suitable for women who want to have children.

3. Radical surgery: For women who are close to menopause, have a serious condition, and have experienced recurrence, the entire uterus and bilateral adnexa can be removed. During the operation, the rupture of the ovarian endometrial cyst should be avoided as much as possible.

4. Minimally invasive surgery: Currently, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery is used to treat endometriosis, which has better results, less harm to women, and faster recovery after surgery.
