How to relieve pelvic peritonitis

Pelvic peritonitis is a gynecological disease that is highly prevalent among women. This disease is extremely harmful to women's bodies, so active treatment is crucial. With the current level of medicine in our country, there are many ways to treat pelvic peritonitis, such as drug therapy, physical therapy, surgical treatment, etc. So how to treat pelvic peritonitis more effectively? Many people don't know much about this, so let us give a detailed introduction to this issue below.

General treatment of pelvic peritonitis: relieve the mental concerns of patients with pelvic peritonitis, enhance their confidence in treatment, increase nutrition, exercise, combine work and rest, and improve the body's resistance.

Surgical treatment of pelvic peritonitis: Surgery is suitable for patients with masses such as hydrosalpinx or tubo-ovarian cysts. Surgery is also suitable for patients with small infection foci that cause repeated inflammation. The principle of surgery is to completely cure the disease and avoid the chance of recurrence of residual lesions. Unilateral adnexectomy or total hysterectomy plus bilateral adnexectomy is performed. For young women, ovarian function should be preserved as much as possible.

Physical therapy for pelvic peritonitis: benign warm stimulation can promote local blood circulation in the pelvic cavity, improve the nutritional status of tissues, and increase metabolism, so as to facilitate the absorption and disappearance of inflammation. Commonly used methods include short wave, ultrashort wave, ion penetration (various drugs such as penicillin, streptomycin, etc. can be added), wax therapy, etc.

Other drugs for the treatment of pelvic peritonitis: When using anti-inflammatory drugs, 5 mg of α-chymotrypsin or 1500 U of hyaluronidase can also be used at the same time, intramuscular injection, once every other day, 5 to 10 times as a course of treatment, to facilitate the absorption of adhesions and inflammation. Some patients should stop taking the drug when local or systemic allergic reactions occur. In some cases, antibiotics are used at the same time as dexamethasone, oral dexamethasone 0.75 mg, patients with pelvic peritonitis 3 times a day, pay attention to gradually reduce the dose when stopping the drug.

Treatment of pelvic peritonitis with Chinese medicine: Chronic pelvic peritonitis is mostly of damp-heat type, and the treatment principle is to clear away heat and dampness. The main treatment is to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. The prescription uses 18g of Danshen, 15g of Red Peony Root, 12g of Aucklandia Root, 9g of Peach Kernel, 30g of Honeysuckle, 30g of Taraxacum, 12g of Poria, 9g of Cortex Moutan, and 9g of Radix Rehmanniae. When the pain is severe, add 9g of Corydalis. Some patients are of cold stagnation and qi stagnation type, and the treatment principle is to warm the meridians and dispel cold, promote qi and activate blood circulation. Guizhi Fuling Decoction is often used with modifications. For those with qi deficiency, add 15g of Codonopsis pilosula, 9g of Atractylodes macrocephala, and 15g of Astragalus.

During menstruation, the endometrium is shed, the blood sinuses in the uterine cavity are open, and blood clots are present, which are good conditions for the growth of bacteria. If you do not pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, use sanitary napkins or toilet paper that do not meet hygiene standards, or have sex, it will provide bacteria with an opportunity for retrograde infection, leading to pelvic peritonitis.
