What foods are best for hyperprolactinemia?

Hyperprolactinemia refers to a syndrome caused by internal and external environmental factors, characterized by elevated prolactin (PRL) (>25ng/ml), amenorrhea, galactorrhea, anovulation and infertility. From the perspective of pathological changes, it can be divided into tumor hyperprolactinemia, postpartum hyperprolactinemia, idiopathic hyperprolactinemia and iatrogenic hyperprolactinemia.

Hyperprolactinemia diet therapy

Diet therapy: peach kernel cuttlefish soup

Remove the internal organs of a cuttlefish, add 6 grams of peach kernels and 400 ml of water and cook until the fish is cooked. Eat the fish and drink the soup, once a day.

Function: Activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It is mainly used to treat blood stasis type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms include menstrual disorders, or early menstruation, or menorrhagia, or continuous metrorrhagia, or amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, chest and flank distension and pain, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back pain, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

Motherwort and black bean fried

Add 30g of motherwort and 60g of black beans into 500ml of water, decoct to extract juice, add brown sugar and rice wine. Take twice a day.

Function: Promotes Qi and activates blood circulation. Indications: Hyperprolactinemia of Qi stagnation and blood stasis type; symptoms include menstrual disorders, or early menstruation, or menorrhagia, or continuous metrorrhagia, or amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, chest and flank pain, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back pain, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

Deer antler glue porridge

Cook porridge with 100g of polished rice and 600ml of water. When half cooked, add 10g of antler glue and 3 slices of ginger and cook into thin porridge. Eat once a day.

Function: replenish kidney essence. Indications: Kidney deficiency and essence deficiency type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms include scanty or infrequent menstruation, amenorrhea, infertility, backache, tinnitus, dizziness, forgetfulness, chills and cold limbs.

Black bean and sumac drink

Add 100g of black beans and 10g of Su wood to a proper amount of water and stew until the black beans are cooked through. Remove the Su wood and add a proper amount of brown sugar to dissolve. Eat the beans and drink the soup twice a day.

Function: nourishing the kidney and activating blood circulation. It is mainly used to treat kidney deficiency and blood stasis type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms include menstrual disorders, or early menstruation, or menorrhagia, or continuous metrorrhagia, or amenorrhea, infertility, galactorrhea, irritability, premenstrual breast or lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed, back and knee pain, tinnitus and dizziness, dark red menstrual blood, and many blood clots.

Biejia Zishen Decoction

Put a turtle (more than 300 grams) into a boiling water pot and scald it to death. Remove the head, claws, turtle shell, and internal organs, and cut into small pieces. Put the turtle pieces back into the pot, add 30 grams of wolfberry, 15 grams of cooked earth, and 600 ml of water, and simmer until cooked. Take once a day.

Function: nourishes liver and kidney and nourishes yin. It is mainly used to treat liver and kidney yin deficiency type hyperprolactinemia; symptoms include menorrhagia, or continuous vaginal bleeding, sore waist and knees, irritability, insomnia, thick milk discharge, or afternoon hot flashes and hot palms and soles.

Hawthorn Malt Tea

50g of raw hawthorn, 30g of fried malt, or 60g of fried malt alone. Boil all ingredients in water and drink as tea, 1 dose per day.

Function: Lactation recovery. It is mainly used to treat various galactorrhea, including hyperprolactinemia, postpartum lactation, and lactation recovery after abortion.

Black Chicken Soup

Cut 500g of black-bone chicken into pieces, add 3g each of dried orange peel and galangal, 6g of pepper, and 2 apples into the pot, add appropriate amounts of onion, vinegar, and sauce, and add water to cover the chicken and stew until cooked. Take with the soup, 1 to 2 times a day.

Function: replenishing qi and blood. Indications: hyperprolactinemia of qi and blood deficiency type; symptoms include scanty or absent menstruation, infertility, thin and light milk discharge, sallow complexion, weak speech, fatigue and less movement.

Rose wine

Burn 10 dried rose flowers into ashes, and take with appropriate amount of rice wine.

Guiqi Lean Meat Soup

Put 250 grams of lean pork slices, 12 grams of angelica, and 30 grams of astragalus into the pot, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then simmer for 2 hours over low heat, and season before serving.

Function: replenishing qi and strengthening spleen, nourishing blood and regulating menstruation. Indications: hyperprolactinemia due to blood deficiency and weak qi; symptoms: pale complexion, dizziness

Palpitations, irregular menstruation, light red menstrual blood and scanty flow, gradually leading to amenorrhea, fatigue, shortness of breath, and decreased appetite.

Beef Soup with Angelica and Polygonatum

Put 250 grams of tender beef chunks, 12 grams of angelica, 30 grams of polygonatum, and 3 grams of tangerine peel into the pot, add appropriate amount of water, boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 2 to 3 hours, and season before serving.

Function: nourishes the liver, invigorates the spleen and replenishes qi. Indications: hyperprolactinemia of qi and blood deficiency type; symptoms include scanty menstruation or amenorrhea, or infertility, thin and light milk discharge, weak speech, fatigue, sallow complexion, fatigue, palpitations and dizziness.

Red Flower Hawthorn Wine

Soak 15g of safflower and 30g of hawthorn in 250ml of liquor for 1 week. Drink 15-30ml twice a day. Drink until you are not drunk, depending on your alcohol intake. Use for 3 months before menstruation.
