Specific symptoms of hyperprolactinemia

At present, the number of people suffering from hyperprolactinemia is gradually increasing. This disease has added a lot of troubles to the normal life and work of patients and friends, and has even affected their physical and mental health. So what are the unique symptoms of hyperprolactinemia?

Hyperprolactinemia refers to a series of pathological syndromes caused by multiple factors that cause the serum prolactin (PRL) concentration to exceed the upper limit of normal under non-physiological conditions.

Experts point out that the symptoms of hyperprolactinemia mainly include the following aspects:

1. Galactorrhea: If you squeeze both breasts, you can see milk and fat droplets under the microscope. In non-tumor type, it is 20%. In tumor type, it is 70%. In simple galactorrhea, it is 80%. Most of the breasts are normal or with lobular hyperplasia or macromastia.

2. When there is a large prolactinoma, visual impairment, nervous system diseases, hypopituitarism, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhoea and other diseases may occur.

3. Irregular menstruation. Primary amenorrhea, secondary amenorrhea, scanty menstruation, oligomenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and corpus luteum dysfunction. Ovulatory dysfunction and corpus luteum dysfunction are manifested as: scanty menstruation, amenorrhea, and infertility are the most common.

4. Osteopenia: This is mainly because HP causes a long-term decrease in estrogen levels, which can lead to a decrease in bone density.
