What are the examinations for cervical warts?

When we have diseases in our private parts, we will feel very embarrassed, so many people are embarrassed to go to the hospital for examination. Especially for some patients with cervical warts, they will have this mentality even more. So what kind of examination should be done for cervical warts? The following is a detailed introduction for everyone.

There are five inspection methods:

1) Histochemical examination: Take a small amount of lesion tissue to make a smear, and stain it with specific anti-human papillomavirus antibodies. If there is a viral antigen in the lesion, the antigen and antibody will bind. In the peroxidase antiperoxidase (PAP) method, the nucleus can be stained red. This method is highly specific and rapid, which is helpful for diagnosis.

2) Virus wart antibody test: HPV is difficult to detect using traditional virus culture and serological techniques. The main experimental diagnostic technique is nucleic acid hybridization. The PCR method developed in recent years has the advantages of specificity, sensitivity, simplicity and rapidity, opening up a new way for HPV detection.

3) Pathological examination: Pathological examination is a highly accurate method in the examination of cervical warts. It starts with the symptoms of cervical warts and determines whether it is cervical warts through examination. Pathological examination mainly shows parakeratosis, hypertrophy of the spinous layer, papilloma-like hyperplasia, thickening and extension of the epidermal protrusions, and the degree of hyperplasia may be similar to pseudoepithelioma.

4) Immunohistological examination: The peroxidase anti-peroxidase method (PAP) is commonly used to show viral proteins in condylomata, to prove the presence of viral antigens in warts. When HPV protein is positive, a weak red positive reaction may appear in the superficial epithelial cells of cervical condylomata.

5) Acetic acid whitening test: The principle of this test is the result of protein coagulation and acid whitening. The keratin produced by HPV-infected cells is different from that produced by normal uninfected epithelial cells. Only the former can be decolorized by acetic acid. The US CDC points out that the acetic acid whitening test is not a specific test and false positives are common.
