How to treat cervical warts

How to treat cervical warts

Cervical warts are a highly sexually transmitted disease that is more difficult to treat than other diseases. Female patients are more difficult to cure than male patients. Moreover, if female cervical warts are not treated in time, it will have a huge negative impact on future fertility. This disease is very scary, and patients are prone to lose confidence in treatment, but early detection and treatment can control the disease.

What methods are used to treat cervical warts? The following are three common methods.

1. Topical medications

Topical medications are a common treatment method. They are relatively safe and cause less pain to patients. However, there are some matters that require special attention. Some topical medications are highly corrosive and will affect other tissues in the patient's diseased area. Long-term use of the medications will bring strong side effects to the body and will not be conducive to subsequent treatment.

2. Electrocautery

Electrocautery is one of the more traditional treatment methods. The general method is to use a high-frequency electric knife to cauterize cervical warts and other skin growths. This method is simple to operate and has a quick effect, but it causes great damage, leaves scars, and the burn wound recovers slowly, and has a high recurrence rate.

3. Surgical Resection

For some pedunculated, large, isolated warts, surgical removal can be considered, but surgical treatment of cervical condylomata is prone to recurrence, resulting in treatment failure, so surgical removal is generally not recommended. However, for pedunculated, large warts or those suspected of malignant transformation, surgical removal can be considered.

Combined with the above treatment methods, female friends should have a better understanding of how to treat cervical warts, but it should be noted that any treatment method should be carried out under the guidance of a professional doctor. In addition, for patients who are ineffective with the above treatments or who have repeated recurrences, they can try traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
