How to diagnose bacterial vaginosis

Many women will suffer from gynecological diseases such as vaginitis. In fact, when facing bacterial vaginosis, it is indeed necessary to pay attention. Bacterial vaginosis makes many female friends' private parts very uncomfortable and itchy, and even has a great impact on their lives. Here I will introduce to you the diagnosis method of bacterial vaginosis.

Diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis:

1. Gynecological diagnosis: Through routine gynecological diagnosis, preliminary screening of possible diseases is performed, and secretion samples are taken for necessary diagnosis.

2. Diagnosis of vaginal secretions: Diagnose the cleanliness of the vagina and whether there is fungal, trichomonas, or bacterial (clue cells, pus cells) infection.

3. Vaginal secretion culture: Diagnose which pathogen is causing the infection and provide doctors with accurate diagnostic basis.

The incidence of bacterial vaginosis in asymptomatic patients is 23%; the incidence of bacterial vaginosis in pregnant women is 6% to 32%; the incidence of female college students undergoing health examinations is only 4%; the incidence of BV in women using intrauterine devices is significantly higher than that of those using other contraceptive methods; and the incidence in non-white women is higher than that in white women.

The diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis is actually very simple. It can be clearly diagnosed by smearing and culturing the patient's secretions. It is easy to see the hyphae branches and spores of fungi under a microscope. Diagnosis can be made through smears.
