Three forms of menopause in women

China has always regarded the age of 40 as a time of trouble for women, so it is an important issue to let women after 40 master scientific health care knowledge to overcome menopausal diseases. Menstruation is directly related to menopause. There are three forms of menopause in women when they enter menopause, which are described below.

The first type: natural menopause

Each woman can mature and ovulate more than 400 eggs in her lifetime, ovulating one egg per month. On a certain day, all 400 eggs are released, and the ovarian function stops. This is called natural menopause. At present, the average menopausal age of urban women in my country is 49.5 years old, and the average menopausal age of rural women is 47.5 years old. However, the onset of menopausal symptoms is not proportional to the age of menopause. Menopausal symptoms begin 4 to 5 years before menopause.

The second type: pathological menopause

The premature cessation of ovarian function is called pathological menopause (medically known as premature ovarian failure). The main causes of pathological menopause include mental trauma, genetic factors, environmental changes, artificial abortion, excessive exercise, insufficient calorie intake, etc., all of which can lead to premature cessation of ovarian function. Medically, amenorrhea before the age of 40 is called premature amenorrhea, and amenorrhea after the age of 55 is called delayed amenorrhea. The normal age of menopause is 40 to 55 years old. Medical research has found that the later the age of menopause, the higher the incidence of breast cancer.

The third type: artificial menopause

Due to various artificial reasons such as surgery or chemotherapy, the ovarian function stops prematurely, which is called artificial menopause. For example, if the right ovary is surgically removed, menopause will begin as soon as the surgery is over. Artificial menopause has earlier and more severe symptoms than natural menopause. Hysterectomy is not called artificial menopause, but women who have had a hysterectomy will suffer from ovarian dysfunction, causing premature onset of menopausal syndrome symptoms such as weight gain, oral ulcers, hot flashes, sweating, palpitations and shortness of breath, etc. This is because hysterectomy affects ovarian function, reduces female hormone secretion, and causes degenerative changes in fat, skin and mucous membranes.

The above three forms of menopause all lead to a decrease or disappearance of female hormone secretion, and all women should receive hormone replacement therapy in a timely manner. Small doses of estrogen plus progestin are the safest and most effective treatment.
