Obesity has a great impact on health. Among the top ten causes of death in China, 8 are related to obesity. The study also pointed out that obese children have a 42-63% chance of becoming obese adults, and obese teenagers have an even higher chance of becoming obese adults, at 70-80%. Obese children and adolescents are potential patients with chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes in the future. According to a survey by the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of obese people in the world has more than doubled from 1980 to 2014, and now accounts for about 40% of the world's population. The World Obesity Federation also pointed out that based on the current trend, the number of overweight people in the world will increase from 2 billion in 2014 to 2.7 billion in 2025. Obesity prevention and control will be a major challenge for global public health. Therefore, the World Health Organization calls on more government organizations to pay attention to and take action to promote obesity prevention and treatment, and to jointly achieve the goal of curbing the rise in obesity rates by 2025 in the next decade. According to the survey, one in two men in my country is overweight or obese, one in three women is overweight or obese, and one in four children and adolescents is overweight or obese. In order to help the people get rid of the threat of obesity and learn to live a healthy life of "eat smartly, exercise happily, and weigh yourself every day", the National Health Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare is promoting a healthy weight management program and encouraging medical institutions across Taiwan to join the weight loss program. Far Eastern Hospital has also responded to the plan to improve the obesity-causing environment by organizing healthy weight loss classes and health lectures in the hospital and the community, and organizing health promotion activities such as walking events and weight loss competitions in the hospital workplace to fully promote the concept of maintaining a healthy body. Our hospital has been undertaking the Health Promotion Hospital Project commissioned by the National Health Administration (now the National Health Agency) since 2012 and has been running healthy weight loss classes ever since. We have integrated resources inside and outside the hospital, and not only provide static lectures, but also provide physicians with disease promotion on obesity. Nutritionists provide guidance on low-calorie diets, design and consultation on weight loss plans, and combine nutritional calorie calculations to establish correct nutritional concepts and eating habits, so that students can effectively control their weight. Physiological values are measured before and after class. The results of the body composition analyzer are used to understand one's own condition and improvement goals. At the same time, the Health+ APP can be used to record physiological values and exercise and diet in the cloud, allowing students to develop a habit of self-monitoring. The integration of information and simplified processes make health management more convenient for users, and the APP tracking function can also be used to achieve the effect of mutual supervision. In addition, we also cooperate with off-site gyms to provide students with a more comfortable exercise environment. Professional fitness coaches lead students in exercise and help them observe changes in their bodies through changes in weight, body fat, and curves. In addition to body shape transformation, we also teach people to lose weight in the right way and regain health and self-confidence; and through mutual encouragement and support among the group, we inspire the determination to lose weight in a healthy way, and thereby achieve the goal of weight loss. We also proactively intervene in communities, workplaces, and schools to hold health lectures. Through related health education courses such as obesity prevention, healthy eating, nutrition and health care, and exercise, we promote the importance of active living and maintaining a good body shape, and pass on correct eating habits to community residents. We also enhance the public's knowledge of calories and nutrition, cultivate their ability to manage their own healthy weight, and improve their physical, mental, and social health. Festivals are important times for gaining weight, but the extra energy after the festival is often difficult to consume, thus causing fat accumulation. The National Health Administration has proposed three key points: "Obesity prevention and control is everyone's responsibility." In addition to the government and enterprises creating a healthy environment, the public should do their part to protect the health of themselves, their families and their friends. People are advised to follow three key points: refuse sugar, be picky about food, and exercise more, so as to turn obesity prevention into action and add value to their health. Say no to sugar, picky eating, and hyperactivity. Follow these three tips ●Say no to sugar: Sugar, like alcohol, is addictive, and consuming sugar can induce many chronic diseases and accelerate the aging of the body. Avoid drinking sugary drinks; refuse to serve sugary drinks with meals; replace cakes and cookies with fruits and appropriate amounts of unflavored nuts and seeds. ● “Pick” before eating: choose white meat, choose lean meat; choose vegetables, choose fruits; choose whole grains, choose nuts; choose natural, choose local. It is recommended that people should be selective in their diet, choose natural ingredients and avoid processed products, choose cooking methods with less oil, and eat only until they are 80% full. ● Move whenever you have the chance: The World Health Organization recommends that children and adolescents should accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity every day, and adults should accumulate at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week. The National Health Administration encourages physical activities in daily life, such as: using public transportation instead of cycling/driving, exercising before or after get off work, climbing stairs instead of taking the elevator, walking the dog, buying lunch and dinner by yourself instead of ordering delivery... etc., and making good use of mobile phones and wearable devices, through various app functions, to manage and record health, and to call friends through social platforms to exercise together, making exercise more interesting and more sustainable.
