Is endometrial thickening related to food intake?

The formation of endometrial thickening is related to long-term and large amounts of estrogen stimulation. Experiments have shown that high-fat foods promote the production and release of certain hormones, so the incidence of obese women is significantly increased. Therefore, cultivating good eating habits can have a certain inhibitory effect on endometrial hyperplasia.

Patients with endometrial thickening should avoid eating foods:

1. Cold foods. Especially before and after menstruation, overheated soups, dishes, and raw and cold foods are taboo. Foods such as rapeseed, shepherd's purse, amaranth, kelp, cucumber, loofah, winter melon, eggplant, leek, bamboo shoots, and lotus root are all cold in nature. It is better to eat less before and after menstruation, and especially pay attention to not eating them raw.

2. Sour, astringent and spicy foods. According to traditional Chinese medicine, sour, astringent and spicy foods can easily lead to blood stasis and are best avoided. Spicy foods can also irritate the human body and cause pain. Women are advised to avoid eating such foods and only eat them after recovery.

3. Heavy-tasting and greasy food. Heavy-tasting and greasy food will cause the body to take in too much sodium and fat, which can easily cause abnormal hormone secretion and is not conducive to recovery. Light food is good for body conditioning. It is recommended that women eat more nutritious and light food such as fresh fruits and vegetables, egg products, chicken, pork, fish, soy products, etc. Do not add too many seasonings when cooking. It is best to eat less fried food.
