Can endometrial thickening be completely cured? Endometrial thickening is a pathological change in which the endometrium, glands, and stroma are overproliferated in women during adolescence, childbearing age, and even menopause. As can be seen, such common endometrial thickening should not be underestimated. As for what kind of endometrial thickening is serious, we need to analyze its biopsy report.

Medication cure

The choice and method of drugs are divided into five major categories. Ovulation-inducing drugs are mostly used for patients with mild atypical hyperplasia of the endometrium. Ovulation-inducing drugs include sedative and chorionic gonadotropin. In addition, progesterone drugs can inhibit endometrial hyperplasia caused by estrogen. Among them, danazol is a derivative of ethynyltestosterone and is a commonly used drug for the treatment of endometriosis. At the same time, it has a strong anti-proliferative effect on the endometrium. There is also a kind of gossypol, which is currently used in my country to treat functional uterine bleeding and endometriosis caused by endometrial hyperplasia. GnRH agonists can increase the level of blood gonadotropin, deplete the gonadotropin inventory in the pituitary gland, thereby inhibiting the pituitary gland and reducing the level of estradiol to postmenopausal levels. The above drugs are all for a course of three months. The specific dosage of the drugs is best used under the doctor's instructions. Remember, abuse of drugs or blind use of drugs. Some patients with hypertension, diabetes, obesity or advanced age who have poor tolerance to surgery may also consider trying drug treatment first under strict follow-up testing.

Surgery

Surgical treatment is generally suitable for women in menopause or postmenopause. Patients with atypical endometrial hyperplasia who are over 40 years old and have no fertility requirements can undergo hysterectomy once diagnosed. If young women have no effect on drug treatment, the endometrium may continue to proliferate or worsen, or even develop into cancer, or vaginal bleeding cannot be controlled by curettage and drug treatment and recurs after delivery, surgical treatment can be considered. Curettage and aspiration is not only an important diagnostic method, but also one of the treatment methods. Because local lesions may also be removed through curettage.
