What are the symptoms of endometriosis?

Endometriosis is very harmful, and there are many treatment options. Radiotherapy can treat endometriosis. So, what are the symptoms of endometriosis?

When endometrial tissue appears outside the surface of the uterine cavity, it is called endometriosis. Common symptoms of endometriosis include:

1. Dysmenorrhea: Most common and prominent symptoms are secondary, that is, since the onset of endometriosis, patients have reported that they had no pain during menstruation in the past, and it started at regular intervals. It can occur before, during, and after menstruation. Some dysmenorrhea is so severe that they need to stay in bed or take medication to relieve the pain. The pain usually worsens with the menstrual cycle.

2. Stool swelling: It usually occurs in the early or after menstruation. The patient feels unbearable pain in the rectum, but does not feel this way at other times. Patients with endometriosis lesions that form strictures around the rectum have symptoms of urgency and obstruction, which is similar to cancer.

3. Pain during sexual intercourse: Endometriosis occurs in the rectouterine fossa and vaginal rectal septum, causing swelling of the surrounding tissues, affecting sexual life and aggravating premenstrual sexual desire.

After understanding the complications of endometriosis, you should also be aware of the signs of endometriosis, which are as follows:

Typical manifestations of endometriosis are painful nodules in the uterosacral ligament or uterorectal trap, and a tilted and fixed uterus. For example, in ovarian chocolate cysts, there may be a fixed mass and tenderness on the uterine side. During the examination, attention should be paid to whether there are purple-blue nodules in the cervix and vaginal vault. Early pelvic endometriosis may have no positive signs at all.
