Experience with prescriptions and medicines for the treatment of amenorrhea

Amenorrhea refers to the pathological absence of menstruation for more than three consecutive months. If a woman is over 18 years old or has not seen her first menstruation for more than two years after the secondary sexual characteristics mature, it is called "primary amenorrhea". This is mostly caused by congenital abnormalities of reproductive organs, so it is difficult to treat. The absence of menstruation in the late menopause, pregnancy and lactation is a normal physiological phenomenon and does not fall into the scope of "amenorrhea".

This article introduces secondary amenorrhea, the causes of which can be roughly divided into two categories: deficiency and excess. Deficiency is caused by insufficient blood and blood, the blood sea is empty, no blood can be discharged, and menstruation does not occur; excess is mostly caused by depression of the seven emotions, stagnation of qi, blood stasis due to qi stagnation, or cold and dampness in the uterus, blocking the meridians, all of which can cause menstruation to fail to come on time and cause amenorrhea. Experts especially warn that long-term vegetarians are prone to secondary amenorrhea. The main clinical manifestation is that long-term vegetarianism will have a destructive effect on hormone secretion in the body, leading to abnormal hormone secretion and menstrual cycle disorders, and even infertility in severe cases. The main cause of this phenomenon is that the patient does not eat meat all year round. A simple vegetarian diet will lead to an imbalance in the proportion of food ingredients, causing endocrine disorders and ultimately amenorrhea. It will also be accompanied by malnutrition and gallstones.
