What to do if infection occurs after abortion

Reproductive organ infection within 2 weeks after abortion is usually related to the surgical operation. The infection rate is similar to that of general intrauterine operation. Acute endometritis after abortion is now rare. The main reasons for infection are: ① The aseptic operation is not strict before and after the abortion. ② The patient has gynecological inflammation such as vaginitis, cervicitis or pelvic inflammatory disease before the operation, but has not been effectively treated. ③ The operation time is too long. ⑧ Cotton balls and gauze are left in the vagina and are not removed in time. ⑤ The patient is in poor general condition and has low immune capacity. ⑤ Do not pay attention to hygiene after the abortion, or take a bath or have sex too early. The treatment measures are to strictly follow aseptic operation, give treatment before the operation for those with inflammation, give antibiotics after the operation to prevent infection, and take a bath or have sex at least one month after the operation.
