Taipei Veterans General Hospital and Taipei City University signed a cooperation agreement this morning (1/4), combining medical care and sports. The two sides will deepen exchanges in the areas of sports injury prevention and treatment, sports science research and application, healthy exercise promotion, and care for professional athletes, and provide athletes with professional medical care.

Taipei City University is a good neighbor and friend of Taipei Veterans General Hospital. It has five major colleges: Education, Science, Municipal Administration, Humanities and Arts, and Sports. It has trained countless outstanding talents, including world badminton star Tai Tzu-ying. Taipei Veterans General Hospital President Chen Weiming said that in the future, the hospital will establish a green channel for athletes to seek medical treatment and an athlete fitness center, combining high-quality medical technologies such as orthopedics, rehabilitation, and disability reconstruction centers to provide athletes with professional medical care. In addition to medical cooperation, the artistic and cultural creations of teachers and students in Taipei City, professional orchestras, etc. can also be arranged to perform at the hospital, providing patients, family members, and employees with a cultural and spiritual feast.

President Qiu Yinghao of Taipei City University explained that Taipei City University was founded in 1895. Since its predecessor, Beijing Sport University, it has been cooperating with Taipei Veterans General Hospital for more than 30 years.
