What is cervical hypertrophy? Do I need treatment?

Cervical hypertrophy is a common pathological manifestation of chronic cervicitis in women, mainly caused by long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, cervical fibrosis or cervical adenocarcinoma, etc. Usually, cervical hypertrophy without discomfort symptoms does not require treatment, but cervical hypertrophy accompanied by other symptoms requires treatment, and the treatment methods include daily care, lifestyle adjustments, drug therapy, physical therapy, surgical treatment, etc.

1. Daily care: Pay attention to personal hygiene, change underwear frequently, and avoid excessive cleaning of the vagina.

2. Lifestyle adjustments: Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, pay attention to diet adjustments, maintain a happy mood, and avoid excessive fatigue.

3. Drug treatment: For cervical hypertrophy caused by chronic inflammatory stimulation, antibiotics such as levofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, amoxicillin capsules, etc. can be used. If it is caused by viral infection, antiviral drugs such as acyclovir tablets, ribavirin tablets, etc. can be used.

4. Physical therapy: suitable for patients with moderate and severe hypertrophy, including laser therapy, cryotherapy, microwave therapy, etc.

5. Surgical treatment: Cervical conization is suitable for patients with high-risk HPV infection or cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. Cervical dilatation is suitable for recurrent miscarriage and infertility caused by cervical stenosis. Cervical adhesion separation is for patients with poor menstrual discharge caused by cervical adhesion. Cervical conization is used for patients with moderate or above cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and colposcopy indicates that the lesions involve the glands.

Maintaining good living habits and hygiene habits is of great significance to preventing the occurrence and recurrence of cervical hypertrophy. If the symptoms worsen, you should seek medical attention in time to avoid delaying the condition.
