Four aspects of nursing care for patients with ectopic pregnancy in the early postoperative period

Ectopic pregnancy refers to the implantation of the fertilized egg in any part of the body other than the uterine cavity. It is a common acute abdomen in obstetrics and gynecology, among which tubal ampulla pregnancy is the most common, accounting for about 78%. Patients with ectopic pregnancy should receive basic nursing care after surgery to lay a good foundation for their recovery.

1. Closely observe vital signs:

It is very important to monitor the patient's vital signs after surgery, especially to observe changes in blood pressure and pulse. Family members should accompany the patient at the bedside. If they find that the blood pressure drops, the pulse speeds up, the patient has pale or dry lips, irritability, cold sweats, etc., they should report to the doctor immediately to treat and rescue the patient in time.

2. Maintain a comfortable position:

The morning after the operation, family members help the patient to take a semi-recumbent position, which is conducive to abdominal drainage, relieves abdominal wound pain, facilitates coughing and sputum, and prevents the occurrence of lung complications.

3. Urine volume monitoring:

Patients generally need to have an indwelling catheter after surgery, and family members should frequently observe the catheter to ensure smooth drainage and prevent the patient from pressing on the catheter. If the patient's urine output is less than 30 ml/L per hour, it means that the shock has not improved or the renal function is poor, and appropriate measures must be taken.

4. Early ambulation:

After the catheter is removed, the patient should be encouraged to get out of bed and move around. Appropriate walking can promote and improve blood circulation, accelerate tissue regeneration and repair, and promote wound healing. It can also avoid venous congestion and prevent the formation of venous thrombosis. Regular activity is also beneficial for promoting gastrointestinal motility, preventing constipation, and preventing the occurrence of bedsores.
