How to relieve the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea

How to relieve the symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea

Patients with primary dysmenorrhea generally do not need special treatment as long as they pay more attention to their daily lives and master some effective methods to relieve the symptoms.

1. Take small steps

Many women with dysmenorrhea have had this experience: when they are busy at work, they run around and the symptoms of dysmenorrhea are not so severe. In fact, the effective way to relieve primary dysmenorrhea is aerobic exercise with small steps and brisk walking. Women can insist on doing it for 30 minutes to 40 minutes every day. It can not only enhance the body's resistance and divert women's attention and fear of dysmenorrhea, but also make the cervix relatively relaxed, making it easier for menstrual blood to be discharged, thereby achieving the purpose of relieving symptoms. Women walking back and forth when they are busy at work is actually a form of small steps and brisk walking.

2. Massage acupoints

Correct acupuncture point massage can effectively relieve dysmenorrhea, such as massaging the Xuehai acupoint, which is located on the inner thigh of the human body, in the groove of the muscle about three fingers wide above the inner upper corner of the kneecap. Once pressed, you will feel obvious pain. The massage method is to rub your hands to warm them up, press on the Xuehai acupoint, and massage in a clockwise direction for 5 minutes; massage the Zusanli acupoint, press the top of the knee vertically downward with the palm of your hand, and follow the top direction of the middle finger to extend one horizontal finger outward to reach Zusanli. The massage method is to press with the thumb method.

3. Soak your feet in mugwort leaves

Soaking feet in mugwort leaves is a relatively safe and gentle method. It can be started one week before each menstrual period, and soak your feet for half an hour every day until your whole body is sweating.
