Can women with moderate cervical erosion get pregnant?

Can women with moderate cervical erosion get pregnant?

Cervical erosion can be divided into three categories according to the area of erosion: mild, moderate, and severe. Moderate cervical erosion is between mild and severe cervical erosion. Many women do not know the relevant knowledge about moderate cervical erosion, and often have such questions: Will moderate cervical erosion affect women's conception? Can such women get pregnant?

Moderate cervical erosion patients mainly show increased leucorrhea, yellow color, sticky and odorous. When inflammation irritates the vulva, it can also cause itching symptoms. When the erosion surface becomes obviously congested and bright red, there may be contact bleeding during sexual intercourse or irregular vaginal bleeding. Although cervical erosion is not necessarily related to infertility, in some cases, due to increased cervical secretions and sticky texture, it affects sperm activity and movement, reducing the chance of pregnancy in women. For example, if the cervical mucosal hyperplasia blocks the cervical opening, it will affect the smooth passage of sperm and cause female infertility.

It should be noted that women with moderate cervical erosion are advised to undergo relevant examinations after pregnancy even if they are pregnant. This is because cervical erosion is often accompanied by infection. If the patient has inflammation of the reproductive organs, it will not only affect the fetus, but may even cause miscarriage and may also aggravate the degree of cervical erosion. Therefore, it is recommended that women of childbearing age with moderate cervical erosion take medication first and then get pregnant after recovery.

TIPS- When the erosion area accounts for 1/3 of the total cervical area, it is mild cervical erosion; when the erosion area accounts for 1/3 to 2/3 of the total cervical area, it is moderate cervical erosion; when the erosion area exceeds 2/3 of the total cervical area, it is severe cervical erosion.
