1. Vulvar itching is the earliest symptom of vulvar leukoplakia

Vulvar leukoplakia and vulvar itching are the first prominent symptoms felt by patients, especially at night. The degree of itching is related to time, menstruation, climate, food, environment, and mood. Itching is usually intermittent and patients often scratch because of the itchiness.

2. Labia majora and labia minora generally change

The labia majora and labia minora generally turn white. Mild atrophy can be seen on the vulva. In severe cases, the clitoris, labia majora and labia minora shrink and become adherent, the labia minora partially or completely disappear, and then tighten. The vaginal opening becomes narrow and loses elasticity, and even affects urination and sexual life. These are all symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia.

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia may appear in women at all stages of their lives. Many diseases such as diabetes, jaundice, autoimmune diseases and metabolic dysfunctions may also cause some symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia.
