Several examination methods that can help detect vaginitis

In order to better determine the condition of vaginitis, it is very necessary to go to the hospital for a vaginitis examination in time. It can not only determine whether you have vaginitis, but also give you a clearer understanding of the condition. What are the common methods for vaginitis examination ? The following will tell you about the common methods for vaginitis examination.

In general, the common examination methods for vaginitis are:

1. Internal examination: For women who have sexual experience, obstetricians and gynecologists will use internal examination, that is, ask the female patient to lie on the examination table, take off her underwear, and then put her feet on a specific bracket. The doctor will then use the gloved index and middle fingers to gently insert into your vagina and touch the cervix. At the same time, the doctor will use the other hand to press the abdomen to check whether the uterus is enlarged or whether the ovaries are enlarged or have tumors. This is a common examination method for vaginitis.

2. Amine test: This is also a common method for checking vaginitis. The leucorrhea of patients with bacterial vaginosis may have a fishy smell, which is caused by the amines in the leucorrhea being alkalized by potassium hydroxide and then volatilized.

3. Clue cells: Clue cells refer to patients with many bacilli condensed at the edge of the vaginal epithelial cells. In the hanging drop smear, the edges of the vaginal epithelial cells are granular or stippled, making them unclear. These are clue cells. They are the most sensitive and specific sign of bacterial vaginosis. Clinicians can make a diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis based on a positive amine test and the presence of clue cells.

4. Chlamydia test: Take cervical mucus for testing. This method of vaginitis examination can confirm bacterial vaginitis caused by mycoplasma infection. If you have it, especially those who have pain during intercourse, abdominal distension, have more than 2 sexual partners, and those who have not improved with continuous medication or have repeated episodes, you need to be checked.

The above is an introduction to the common examination methods for vaginitis, I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Once you suffer from vaginitis, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid seriously delaying the disease and missing the best time for treatment.
