Understand the main factors that cause dysmenorrhea in women

Everyone may know that dysmenorrhea can sometimes bring great inconvenience to women. Symptoms such as abdominal pain and even vomiting are manifestations of dysmenorrhea. In order to effectively relieve dysmenorrhea, let us understand the causes of dysmenorrhea below.

1. Cervical stenosis is mainly caused by obstruction of menstrual outflow, which is the cause of dysmenorrhea. Uterine hypoplasia is prone to abnormal blood supply, causing uterine ischemia and hypoxia, which can cause dysmenorrhea.

2. Abnormal position of the uterus. If a woman's uterus is extremely retroflexed or anteflexed, it may affect the smooth flow of menstrual blood and cause dysmenorrhea.

3. Psychological and neurological factors: Some women are overly sensitive to pain.

4. Endocrine factors: Abdominal pain during menstruation is related to the increase of progesterone in the luteal phase.

5. The content of prostaglandins (PG) in the endometrium and menstrual blood increases. Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) acts on the uterine muscle fibers to contract and cause dysmenorrhea. The content of prostaglandins in the endometrial tissue of patients with menstruation is significantly higher than that of normal women.

6. Excessive uterine contraction. Although the uterine contraction pressure of patients with dysmenorrhea is basically the same as that of normal women (normal pressure is about 4.9Kpa), the uterine contraction lasts longer and is often difficult to relax completely, so dysmenorrhea caused by excessive uterine contraction occurs.

7. Abnormal uterine contraction. Patients with dysmenorrhea often have abnormal uterine contraction, which often leads to ischemia of uterine smooth muscle. Uterine muscle ischemia can cause spasmodic contraction of uterine muscle, resulting in pain and dysmenorrhea.

8. Gynecological diseases such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, etc. The placement of an intrauterine device (commonly known as an IUD) in the uterus can also easily cause dysmenorrhea.

9. Dysmenorrhea is also caused by high psychological pressure, long-term sitting leading to poor blood circulation, poor menstrual blood flow, and a preference for cold food.

10. Vigorous exercise during menstruation, cold and dampness, etc. are all likely to cause dysmenorrhea

I hope that the above introduction to the causes of dysmenorrhea will be helpful to everyone. Starting from daily life, develop good eating and living habits, do effective prevention, and relieve the discomfort caused by dysmenorrhea. I hope everyone can stay healthy and happy.
