Explain the five steps in the abortion inspection project

Abortion is also known as artificial miscarriage. For most abortion patients, they must first know the examination items for abortion before undergoing the operation. What are the main examination items for abortion? Let's take a look at the examination items for abortion.

1. Early pregnancy test (HCG). From the 7th day of pregnancy, a specific hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG for short), can be detected in the urine of pregnant women. Usually, the urine pregnancy test for abortion in the hospital tests this hormone. The test results at home can only be used as a reference. Only the results of the hospital test can confirm whether you are pregnant.

2. Ultrasound examination. The purpose of the abortion examination is to see whether the gestational sac can be seen and to determine the size of the gestational sac. This is mainly to rule out ectopic pregnancy. If the gestational sac cannot be seen, it may be due to a short period of time. The doctor will ask you to wait a few days before rechecking the ultrasound.

3. Routine examination of leucorrhea. Find out whether there are trichomonas and fungi in the vagina. If necessary, chlamydia, mycoplasma, and gonococcus should be checked. If the above microorganisms are present, it is easy to cause ascending infection. Anti-infection and anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out before abortion. Otherwise, the infection will be aggravated and affect the embryonic development in the next pregnancy, inducing miscarriage.

4. Inflammation examination. Check for inflammation during the abortion examination. If inflammation symptoms are found, further examination and treatment are required. Generally, treatment is required before surgery to prevent inflammation from spreading and causing gynecological inflammation such as adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, various vaginitis, cervicitis, etc.

5. Blood test: Routine blood test to see if there are other inflammations.

6. Electrocardiogram and liver function test. In case special treatment is needed during the operation.

The information introduced above is the examination items for abortion. I hope it can help you. Understanding the examination items for abortion is actually the most basic. For most abortion patients, they must follow the abortion examination items step by step. Here I wish you a speedy recovery.
