Causes of ovarian cysts

Causes of ovarian cysts

Ovarian cysts are a type of tumor disease that is very common among female friends. So, what is the cause of ovarian cysts? Let's take a look at it together.

Ovarian cyst pathology Ovarian cyst is a kind of ovarian tumor in a broad sense. The complexity of ovarian cyst tissue morphology exceeds that of any other organ. This is because:

① The tissue structure of the ovary has potential for development and pluripotency;

② The ovaries are very close to the urinary system during embryogenesis, and some mesonephric tissue can stray into the ovaries;

③ The ovaries are homologous to the embryonic genital ridges of men and women and differentiate posteriorly. Therefore, the causes of ovarian cysts are very complex and many times more complicated than normal causes;

The main causes of ovarian cysts are:

1. Abnormal function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis. The basic pathophysiological change in many patients and patients with polycystic ovary syndrome is that the ovaries produce too much androgen. The excessive production of androgen is the result of the synergistic effect of abnormal functions of multiple endocrine systems in the body.

2. The body cavity epithelium can be repeatedly stimulated by menstrual hormones or chronic inflammation and can metaplasia into endometrium-like tissue to form endometriosis. 80% of endometriosis occurs in the ovaries, which is related to the metaplastic potential of the ovarian germinal epithelium. However, many scholars currently believe that peritoneal irritation combined with endometriosis is the result rather than the cause, and that peritoneal irritation occurs in areas other than ectopic foci.

3. Environmental factors: unreasonable dietary structure, high cholesterol diet, lack of vitamins A, C, E, smoking, ionizing radiation and other environmental factors are related to its occurrence;

4. Long-term dietary structure: bad living habits, excessive psychological pressure and other factors cause excessive acidification of the body, which reduces the overall function of the human body and causes kidney deficiency. The liver and kidney are of the same origin, and the pathological deficiency of kidney and ovarian cysts is caused by liver deficiency, which in turn causes the metabolic cycle in the lower part of the body to slow down, resulting in ovarian diseases and endocrine disorders, and a decline in immune function, which in turn develops into abnormal proliferation of ovarian tissue, eventually leading to ovarian cysts and even cancer.

5. Endocrine factors: The incidence rate is increased in nulliparous or infertile women, and pregnancy seems to have a protective effect on ovarian cancer; early menarche (before the age of 12), menopause after the age of 50, frequent menstruation, use of ovulation-stimulating agents for more than 3 cycles (discuss with your doctor when using), precocious puberty or virilization, etc. are also related to the occurrence of ovarian cysts.
