What to do if you have ovarian cysts during pregnancy

Gynecological diseases have a great impact on women's pregnancy, so you should pay attention to the examination before and after pregnancy and make timely adjustments. So, what should I do if I have ovarian cysts after pregnancy?

If a pregnant woman does not have cysts before pregnancy, most cysts during pregnancy are corpus luteum cysts. In other words, most pregnancy cysts during pregnancy are benign, but still harmful to pregnancy. Early pregnancy can easily cause miscarriage; mid-pregnancy can easily cause ovarian cyst pedicle torsion; late pregnancy can easily cause birth canal obstruction and dystocia.

The diameter of ovarian cysts during pregnancy is generally 1-3cm, occasionally 5-6cm. Most cysts can disappear within two months without much psychological burden, but remember not to take medicine and follow the doctor's advice. After regular monitoring, if the ovarian cyst continues to grow, you can choose to have it surgically removed before 18-20 weeks of pregnancy according to the specific situation.

Women should be aware of the symptoms of ovarian cysts so that they can be better detected and treated in time.

Symptoms of ovarian cysts include:

1. Abdominal pain may occur. Ovarian cysts generally do not cause abdominal pain, which is usually a complication caused by ovarian cysts.

2. It will increase the width of the abdomen, so you must be careful not to get foreign matter growing in the abdomen. For example, if the patient suddenly finds that his clothes become tighter, or feels his abdomen swollen, or that the width of the abdomen changes significantly, it may be accompanied by symptoms of abdominal distension and discomfort.

3. Feeling of organs being compressed. If the ovarian cyst is too large, it can compress the organs above the diaphragm. In severe cases, the patient may experience breathing difficulties or palpitations. If the pelvic and abdominal organs of the patient are compressed by the cyst, urination difficulties, urine retention, or constipation may occur.
