Cervicitis is a common disease among women of childbearing age and can be either acute or chronic.

Acute cervicitis often occurs with acute endometritis or acute vaginitis, but chronic cervicitis is the main cause. In fact, cervical erosion is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, and cervical erosion is not what we usually understand as erosion. When the outer epithelium of the cervix falls off and is replaced by another epithelial tissue of the cervical ostium, because the new epithelium covering the surface is very thin, you can even see the blood vessels and red tissue underneath, which looks like real erosion, so it is called cervical erosion, but it is not real erosion. The occurrence of cervical erosion is caused by childbirth, miscarriage, puerperal infection or surgery or mechanical stimulation, such as sexual life damage to the cervix and pathogen invasion.
