As the weather turns cold, some women may find that their vaginal discharge is abnormal or even contains blood, which is indeed a bit worrying. In fact, this situation may be related to temperature changes, physical condition or gynecological health, but there is no need to be too nervous. It is important to understand the reasons and coping methods. Leucorrhea is a normal secretion of the female reproductive system, usually transparent or milky white, thin or viscous. Its main function is to keep the vagina moist, help clean and resist bacterial infection. But when leucorrhea becomes abnormal, such as darker color, increased volume, odor or blood, it may indicate that there are some problems in the body. When the weather gets colder, the body's immunity may decrease, and the cold stimulation can easily lead to poor local blood circulation, thus affecting the normal state of leucorrhea. There may be many reasons for blood in leucorrhea. For example, ovulation bleeding is a common phenomenon, which usually occurs in the middle stage of the menstrual cycle. The amount of blood is small and the duration is short. It is a normal physiological phenomenon. If blood appears before or after menstruation, it may be a manifestation of incomplete shedding of the endometrium. Gynecological inflammations such as cervicitis and vaginitis may also cause abnormal leucorrhea, even accompanied by blood. If blood persists or is accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, such as abdominal pain, itching or odor, it needs to be taken seriously. In response to this situation, some measures can be taken to alleviate it. Keep warm, especially the abdomen and lower limbs, to avoid cold. Maintain good personal hygiene habits, wash the vulva with warm water every day, and avoid using irritating lotions. Eat more foods rich in vitamins C and E, such as oranges, kiwis, nuts, etc., to help enhance immunity. If abnormal leucorrhea persists for more than a week, or is accompanied by obvious discomfort, it is recommended to seek medical attention in time, clarify the cause through professional examination, and avoid delaying treatment. |
