What are the ultrasound changes of adenomyosis?

Ultrasound is a way to examine adenomyosis. Speaking of ultrasound, we all know that adenomyosis is diagnosed by ultrasound. So what are the ultrasound changes of adenomyosis?

In ultrasound-diagnosed adenomyosis, the echogenicity of the lesion is locally enhanced and irregular, and some may show fence-like or pattern-like changes, as if there is a mass. These can provide information for doctors to make judgments.

Severe adenomyosis is usually treated with surgery. Open surgery is not an option and hysterectomy is even less ideal. Many people who have no fertility requirements choose hysterectomy after suffering from uterine fibroids. The purpose is to achieve quick results and prevent recurrence, but the fibroids and uterus are gone. Little do people know that the uterus is an integral part of the female pelvic floor. To remove the uterus, a hole must be dug in the pelvic floor and the 10 ligaments that fix the uterus must be cut off before the uterus can be removed. The integrity of the pelvic floor is destroyed, the support of the pelvic floor is reduced, and the internal organs sag, seriously affecting the quality of life, especially sexual life. Removing the uterus due to fibroids is a very big misunderstanding. In fact, fibroids are a benign disease. With today's medical level, it is not necessary and should not be done to remove the uterus.

The general drug treatment for adenomyosis is not effective. For those over 35 years old, those who have given birth or those with severe symptoms, surgical removal of the uterus is the most effective and most commonly used treatment. Girls should avoid being frightened during puberty to avoid amenorrhea and overflow.

Patients with adenomyosis should avoid all cold food, fruits, and milk. Keep warm and avoid using air conditioners in summer. Soak your feet in hot water for half an hour every afternoon and drink two cups of hot water to make your body hot. In late autumn and winter, a little sweating is the best, while in spring and summer, more sweating is the best, especially in summer.

Ultrasound changes in adenomyosis indicate a problem, so it is best to ask your doctor to explain it. Since we don’t know what the changes are, we cannot make a definitive conclusion here.
