Can pelvic effusion cause menstrual irregularities?

Can pelvic effusion cause menstrual irregularities?

Pelvic effusion is mainly caused by inflammation due to cervical injury and pathogen invasion during childbirth, miscarriage or surgery, which brings great trouble to many women. So will pelvic effusion lead to irregular menstruation? Pelvic effusion can be divided into physiological and pathological. If it is pathological pelvic effusion, it will lead to irregular menstruation.

If pelvic effusion is not properly treated, it is very harmful and can easily lead to pelvic adhesions, fallopian tube obstruction, and infertility. If there is lower abdominal pain, lumbosacral pain, increased leucorrhea, lower abdominal tenderness, and thickening of the vaginal discharge during examination, it should be considered as chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which requires active treatment to prevent the inflammation from getting worse and the amount of effusion from increasing. Women with pelvic effusion should pay special attention to the following points:

1. If not treated in time, it will affect the inflammatory adhesions at the fimbria of the fallopian tube, leading to infertility, or abortion, childbirth, miscarriage, etc.

2. If pelvic effusion is not treated in time, it may cause the inflammation of the surrounding pelvic tissues to spread and affect other pelvic organs.

3. Pelvic effusion can affect health at a mild level, often causing lower abdominal pain, anal swelling, low back pain, back pain, excessive discharge or sudden lower abdominal pain that gradually turns into swelling and pain, aggravated by activity, etc., affecting normal study, life and work.

4. It may cause female infertility. Generally speaking, physiological pelvic effusion occurs mostly after female ovulation or early pregnancy and can disappear naturally. A small amount of pelvic effusion does not affect pregnancy or the fetus.

Warm reminder: If pelvic effusion occurs, it must be treated actively, otherwise the consequences will be very serious.
