How to treat ectopic pregnancy

The treatment of ectopic pregnancy is generally divided into surgical treatment, drug treatment and expectant treatment. Surgical treatment must have surgical indications, such as unstable vital signs of the patient, obvious signs of abdominal bleeding, progression of ectopic pregnancy, blood HCG>3000U/L, fetal heart beat, unreliable follow-up, ineffective drug treatment or contraindications to drug treatment. If the patient has no contraindications to drug treatment, the pregnancy has not ruptured, the diameter of the gestational sac is <4cm, blood HCG <2000U/L, and there is no obvious internal bleeding, drug treatment can be used. Expectant treatment is only suitable for stable conditions and low blood HCG levels. Generally, it is <1500U/L and has a downward trend.

Ectopic pregnancy, as the name implies, is the implantation of the fertilized egg outside the uterus. For example, any position of the fallopian tube, the interstitial part of the fallopian tube, the ampulla of the fallopian tube, the fimbria of the fallopian tube or the ovary, this situation is called ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is usually affected by the patency of the fallopian tube, inflammation, and adhesion of the fimbria of the fallopian tube. There is also a kind of sperm and egg, which are of poor quality and have relatively weak combined motility. They do not reach the appropriate position in the uterine cavity, are tired and unable to walk on the way, and then reach the relatively rich part of the tubal cavity and implant in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. These are the two principles and causes of ectopic pregnancy. Once an ectopic pregnancy is discovered, intervention treatment should be carried out as soon as possible. When the lesion is not ruptured, conservative treatment can be considered.

If you have just been diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy by vaginal B-ultrasound and have not yet undergone surgical treatment, you need to pay attention to the following matters. All strenuous activities are prohibited, and sexual intercourse is absolutely prohibited. Try to stay in bed and rest. Avoid activities or sexual intercourse, which may cause the ectopic pregnancy mass to rupture and cause heavy bleeding. Before surgery, you should generally try to eat a light diet, avoid spicy or cold food, and eat easily digestible food to avoid gastrointestinal vomiting caused by surgical anesthesia and block the respiratory tract.
